Understanding the Tabley Hill Solar Proposal
A proposal has been brought forward to develop a large-scale solar power plant on agricultural land at Tabley Hill, near Knutsford. The project is currently at the consultation stage and no planning decision has yet been made. If approved, the development would include solar panels, inverter stations, access tracks, security fencing, CCTV and associated infrastructure across approximately 150 acres of land. The developer has indicated the site would operate for around 40 years before being decommissioned.

What Happens Next?
Before any development can proceed, a planning application must be submitted and assessed by Cheshire East Council. This process includes technical assessments, statutory consultation and an opportunity for the public to submit comments before any decision is made. Knutsford Solar Action will continue to publish updates as the project progresses.
